Every individual diagnosed with breast cancer will have a different journey. Some will be young and catch it early, some will have to endure chemotherapy and radiation, some will decide to have breast reconstruction. There is no right or wrong journey through treatment or reconstruction, what matters is choosing the journey that is right for you.
Mercedes came to PRMA after being diagnosed with breast cancer. She met with Dr. Gary Arishita and together they discussed all of her options and the pros and cons of each. Ultimately she decided to undergo bilateral mastectomy with DIEP flap breast reconstruction.
Today she will tell you that she is happy with the choice she and Dr. Gary Arishita made together and loves her results. She is excited to see what the future holds for her!
